Teaches kids to keep secrets with adults
So not only does this show teach that it's okay to lie and keep secrets from your parents, but it gets even worse. In one of the episodes the neighbors are moving, and chip goes to say goodbye and ends up saying something along the lines of "if I tell you something you have to promise you won't tell anyone" she might even say "you have to promise you wont tell my parents", I can't quite remember. Then she tells the neighbor about her secret snuggly potato mouse. That was the moment I decided my child would no longer watch this show. After weeks of her crying over it I finally have won her over and she will now say "Chip & potato yucky show"Because it is. Also, chip seems super entitled and bratty. There was an episode where she got chicken poxs and after coming back to school she was really rude about her friend making another friend when she was gone.I could really go on and on and on about this show. Seriously don't let your kids watch it.

Why would you teach kids it’s okay to keep secrets?
This is a sweet show that teaches a lot of good things. However, Chip keeps Potato a secret from almost everyone. We shouldn’t teach our children to keep secrets from their family. That’s what abusers do. Kids need to know that they can share anything with their families and be accepted.

Secrets and Family Dynamics
The show teaches kids to keep secrets from parents and has currently added a 2 male household, wich can be confusing to kids of a young age or that have not been exposed to that previously.

maybe pre-screen for younger kids, mine is having nightmares.
I don't find any issues with the imaginary world that the Pug family lives in, as others have mentioned. My kid loves animals and has had fun watching it. I find Chip's tendency toward cowardice and hesitancy in the face of adversity to be a little grating, I find the tunes scattered throughout to be very low effort and poorly composed, and I find the dialogue sometimes makes me cringe, but it's cute to watch and talk about what's happening and see my kid interested in this fantasy world. The downturn came when one episode came on where the little girl pug wants to go to the bathroom where a janitor is working (but she doesn't know that). The janitor is knocking about making loud noises and then apparently hurts her finger and yells. The pug becomes scared and says there is a monster in the bathroom. She overcomes her fear and goes in to see the janitor and figures out what actually happened, but before we got to that point my kid had already run out of the room crying in a dramatic way I have never experienced. She is still talking through this traumatic experience several times a day and wakes up crying, talking about monsters and Miss Nash hurting her finger. She is too afraid to watch the show again, despite not being a fearful child in general. I'd let her try again some day when she's older, but I'd be just as happy for her to forget this show exists.

My Grandkids have been watching since my Granddaughter was 14mnths and her 1yr old brother has been watching since he was a couple of months old. They really love the songs Wynn she loves to sing along and anything she does her little brother Zevran loves. When the sleepy bed time song is on they both quick and lay down, so I taped it to my phone and play it when its nap time. I dont understand the objection of Chip having said secret friend, many kids have imaginary friends its harmless, I read some reviews where parents don't like the idea of her hiding potatoe and I think it silly.

Teaching inclusivity and open mindedness
We started watching this show and my 3 year old loved it immediately. Very upbeat, colorful and fun, the songs are cute and easy to sing along with for little ones. The diversity is my favourite thing about the show. It shows many different kinds of families; the Razzles, which are a gay couple with twin babies, Amanda Panda seems to be a single mother, and the elephants live with their grandmother Granny Fant. The introduction of the Razzles definitely won me over. The use of the gender neutral washrooms in the school is great too, none of this seems forced and there's no discussion about it, it's just what it is. For anyone saying this is propaganda or indoctrination I encourage you to be more open minded and realize everyone needs representation.

Me and my daughter love it
Its adorable, other reviewers complained about how the main character lies/is selfish / etc as if no 4 or 5 year old does. But then each time (aside from the hidden mouse) it proves as a learning lesson . I definitely noticed my youngest learning more empathy and started apologizing more after making a mistake now. There's a lot of inclusiveness that I deeply appreciate. There's a handicapped principal, Potatos neighbor and best friend Nico appears to come from a single parent household, her Grandma appears to be a previously single grandma with a new boyfriend (they never obviously state it but its seems to be the case). Then of course the other reviews already mention the LGBTQ couple with adopted babies which I think is wonderful and the problem lies with the reviewers not the family in the show.

Positive Role Models and Good Feelings
This show is an incredibly innocent romp with family-friendly themes, positive and lesson-enforcing interactions between characters and a strong core of inclusivity. There's something fun to talk about with your kids after each episode. Good, colorful and engaging animation and sweet voice acting. There's nothing mind-polluting about any of this, no hidden agendas or "propaganda" unless you are really predisposed to seeing that sort of thing everywhere you look. This show teaches kids that getting along with others sometimes means overcoming hurdles together. Our family is on the fence about the lying aspect others have mentioned. Is Potato a real mouse? Doesn't really seem that way after a few episodes, and I'd be hard-pressed to call an imaginary friend "lying to your parents." Open to seeing that from another perspective, but it doesn't read like any sort of underlying message that kids will take away as a life lesson.
